The contribution is based on literature data on the kinetics of lipid extraction from microalgae with supercritical CO2. Data analysis shows that the asymptotic yield depends on microalgae pre-treatment while the extraction rate increases substantially with increasing pressure and, at sufficiently high pressures, also with increasing temperature. A mathematical model for supercritical extraction was derived where the adsorption of lipids on microalgae surface plays important role.
