    The Er3þ/Yb3þ:LiNbO3 films were spin-coated on sapphire substrates using analkoxide solution containing PVP. The influence of different PVP molecular mass on luminiscence at 1530nm, microstructure and waveguiding properties was investigated. We showed that the use of PVP is apromising way to prepare doped LiNbO3 waveguiding films by a non-hydrolytic method.
