    Nanoparticles of cerium doped lutetium aluminium garnet conjugated to anti-Fas ligand antibodies were used for study of Fas ligand localization on the surface of leukocytes. The nanoparticles allow studying both Fas ligand localization due to its intensive cathodoluminescence and fine cell membrane structure in scanning electron microscopy.
