První část tohoto článku se zabývá krátce pojmem amyloid, který je spojen se skupinou nemocí nazývaných amyloidózy. Druhá část přináší stručný přehled současně užívaných léčiv pro vybrané typy amyloidózy. V poslední části jsou popsány příklady nových experimentálních terapií amyloidózy, které jsou v současnosti předmětem výzkumu.
The first part of this reviews briefly with the concept of amyloid, which is associated with the group of diseases called amyloidoses. The second section brings a brief overview of current clinically used therapeutics for selected types of amyloidoses. In the last section, examples are described of new experimental therapies of amyloidoses, which are currently under investigation.
