Vědecká konference – zaměření – reflexe tradice, spojené s osobností Karla IV., a její proměny od dob baroka do současné doby. Konference byla zaměřena na vývoj vzpomínání na dobu Karla IV. v období baroka, 19. i 20. století. V souvislosti s podobou moderního vyprávění o Karlu IV. a jeho době bylo mimo jiné sledováno i zneužití jeho odkazu v době nacismu a komunismu, odraz karlovské tradice do popkultury a také zpřítomnění role tohoto velkého středověkého panovníka ve školních učebnicích.

Conference – specialization – reflection traditions associated with the person of Charles IV., and his transformation from Baroque times to the present time. The conference focused on the development of remembering the time of Charles IV. in the Baroque period, 19th and 20th centuries. In connection with the appearance of modern narrative of Charles IV. and his time was monitored abuses his legacy at the time of nazism and communism, reflection Charles-tradition into pop culture and actualization of the role of this great medieval ruler in textbooks.
