Kniha analyzuje deset Komenského dramatických prací [jsou to Diogenes Cynicus redivivus (hraný r. 1640 v polském Lešně), Abrahamus Patriarcha (uvedený v r. 1641 tamtéž) a osm her cyklu Schola ludus (hrál se v r. 1654 v uherském Blatném Potoku)] s ohledem na dobový historický kontext a na praxi středoevropského (evropského) divadla (zvláště školského typu) v 16. a 17. století.

The book analyzes ten dramatic works of Comenius – Diogenes Cynicus redivivus (staged in 1640 in Polish Leszno), Abrahamus Patriarcha (staged in 1641 in Leszno) and eight plays of the cycle Schola ludus (performed in 1654 in Hungarian Sárospatak) – with regard to their historical context and the practice of Central European (and indeed European) theatre (especially of a school type) in the 16th and 17th centuries.
