    The text deals with the decline of Detroit city which is a symbol of the global economic crisis (2007/8). It explains a collapse of the car industry, unemployment, abandoned and demolished parts of the city, and attempts to revitalize it through urban gardening, trade unions, and citizens's projects. It is an interview with Frank Hammer, former leader of the United Automobile Workers (UAW) in Detroit, Michigan, USA, conducted by Marek Hrubec.
