Ocular surface damages represent one of the most common causes of decreased quality of vision or even blindness. In some cases, the only option for the treatment is a trasplantation of stem cells. The cells cannot be transferred onto ocular surface directly as a free cell suspensions. Therefore, various scaffolds have been proposed and tested. In this review article, the advanges of nanofiber scaffolds are discusssed.
