A Finite Element technique for solution of multiphysics coupled (electromagnetic, thermal and structural) problems is presented, taking into account temperature dependences of material properties and continuous change of the contact surfaces. The proposed approach is used for the numerical simulation of a novel linear actuator working on the principle of thermoelasticity. The results obtained are discussed.
