Kniha se zabývá novým lidským právem na příznivé životní prostředí z pohledu právní teorie a teorie lidských práv. Zkoumá pozici tohoto základního práva v katalogu lidských práv, jeho obsah, konstrukci a další charakteristiky; detailněji se věnuje problému antropocentrismu, principu udržitelnosti a konceptu práv budoucích generací.

The book deals with the new human right to environment especially from the perspective of legal theory and human rights theory. It analyses the concept of the right, its position within the human rights system, and its possible content elements. The author pays closer attention to three subtopics that have not yet been treated in detail in the Czech environmental law theory: to the problem of anthropocentri¬sm, to the concept of sustainability, and to the concept of future generations’ rights.
