13. listopadu 2015 ČR v rámci Týdne vědy a techniky uspořádalo NKC – gender a věda Sociologického ústavu AV ČR ve spolupráci s Centrem genderových studií FF UK a Masarykovým Ústavem a Archivem AV ČR první edit-a-thon v Česku, workshop, jehož cílem bylo naučit veřejnost editovat Wikipedii. Zvoleným tématem editace byly ženy v historii vědy. Cílem bylo zviditelnit vědkyně, které jsou ve veřejném prostoru často opomíjené, a přivést k editaci Wikipedie veřejnost, především ženy, které mezi editujícími chybí. K akci se online připojil sesterský workshop pořádaný Univerzitou Pardubice a řada jednotlivců/jednotlivkyň online. Více na http://www.genderaveda.cz/editathon.

Faced with a paucity of women scientists in the Czech-language version of Wikipedia, the Centre for Gender and Science od Institute of Sociology of Czech Academy of Sciences organized a Wikipedia edit-a-thon in conjunction with the Centre for Gender Studies of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University and Masaryk Institute and Archive of Academy of Sciences CR. It was the first such even in the country.
