Jan Vetter († 1617), syn bratrského konseniora Jiřího Strejce, byl vychovatel, bratrský kněz a zřejmě jen o něco málo starší současník Jana Amose Komenského. Studie analyzuje osmnáct jeho dopisů z archivu mladoboleslavského biskupa Matouše Konečného, jeho kontakty s Matthiasem Martinim, rektorem gymnázia v Brémách a v 17. století tištěná literární díla, které souvisejí s Vetterovou osobou.

Jan Vetter, son of Bohemian Brethren Consenior Jiří Strejc, was tutor, priest, and apparently only a slightly older contemporary of Jan Amos Comenius. The essay analysed eighteen of Vetter's letters from the archives of Matouš Konečný, his contacts with Matthias Martini, the rector of the grammar school in Bremen, and in the 17th Century printed works, which are closely connected with the person of Jan Vetter.
