Příspěvek usiluje o reflexi vybraných aspektů bádání o šlechtických kapelách, resp. o hudebních ansámblech ve službách šlechty v českých zemích doby baroka. Patří k nim Helfertova typologie šlechtických kapel rozlišující kapely služebnické a samostatné, dále problematika tradičního badatelského konceptu tzv. zámecké hudební kultury spjaté s rezidencí či místem oproti nikoli neobvyklé realitě hudebního souboru doprovázejícího svého pána na cestách po jeho panstvích a městských palácích, a konečně otázka míry vlivu hudebních souborů ve službách šlechty na hudební vývoj. Na závěr jsou nastíněny možné perspektivy dalšího výzkumu daného tématu

The article strives to reflect selected aspects of the research of music ensembles within aristocratic services in the Czech lands in Baroque time. These include Vladimír Helfert’s typology of Kapellen, which distinguishes between servant and independent ensembles; the traditional and rather problematic research concept of what is called castle music culture – one related to residency as opposed to the quite common phenomenon of music ensembles accompanying their owners when they circulated around their estates and city palaces; and the question of the extent to which music ensembles in the services of aristocracy influenced the development of music in general. In the conclusion, possible perspectives of further research into the topic are outlined
