    Collective monograph devoted to the issue of the Cyrillo-Methodian Mission in the broadest sense of the word (preconditions, activity, results and impact). In a wider international and interdisciplinary context, summarize the results of years of research and studies of the individual relevant fields (e.g. archeology, history, art history, Slavic Studies, philology and literary studies). The publication is divided into three thematic parts – The preconditions, The Thessalonian brothers and Memory, covering the period from 8th/9th – 18th century. Thus not only focuses from a broad interdisciplinary perspective on missionary activities of Thessaloniki Brothers in Great Moravia, but also follows their legacy and tradition in later times in both the Czech lands and a broader European context. Publication aims the goal to summarize the topic in occasion of 1150th anniversary of the arrival of Thessalonian brothers in Great Moravia (863), that was celebrated in 2013.
