This contribution aims in characterization of chemical states of ferritin nanoparticles
of biological origin. We have studied samples prepared from human spleen. 57Fe Mössbauer
spectroscopy was employed as a principal method of investigation in addition to X-ray
diffraction, and electron microscopy.
