Prostřednictvím podobenství o draperii vystihl architekt Pavel Janák roku 1912 v Uměleckém měsíčníku duchovní vztah mezi plochou a prostorem v kubistických dílech. Text zkoumá zdroje jeho myšlenky (El Greco), stejně jako dobové (Worringer) i pozdější paralely (Deleuze, Didi-Huberman).
The architect Pavel Janák published his original essay on drapery in Art Monthly in 1912: in his view, drapery was a symbol of spiritual relation between surface and space in cubist artworks. Janák´s idea is compared with his sources (El Greco), as well as with analogical conceptions (Worringer, Deleuze, Didi-Huberman).
