The book chapter demonstrates the process of the definition of post industrial landscapes in the Czech Republic as a legacy of the industrial society and as the result of social and technological change at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. Performed classification, typology and precise outlineation of these areas represent the basis for planning their future destiny and its incorporation into the territorial planning documentation.
