Tyrosinasa byla extrahována z homogenizovaných plodnic žampiónu (Agaricus bisporus) acetonem. Rozpouštědlo bylo odstraněno filtrací a preparát skladován při -20 °C nejméně dva měsíce bez ztráty aktivity. Enzymový preparát je vhodný pro degradaci fenolu a kresolu z průmyslových odpadních vod a pro purifikaci a imobilizaci tyrosinasy. Vykazuje specifickou aktivitu ca. 1.4 U/mg proteinu pro fenol při 25 °C and pH 7.0

Tyrosinase was extracted from homogenized fruiting bodies of the common mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) with acetone. Solvent was removed by filtration and the preparation was stored at -20 °C for at least 2 month without loss of activity. This enzymatic preparation is suitable for the degradation of phenol and cresol from industrial wastewaters and for the purification and immobilization of tyrosinase. It exhibits a specific activity of ca. 1.4 U/mg protein for phenol at 25 °C and pH 7.0
