Předkládané řešení se týká použití nostotrebinu 6 (2,2´-bis[4,5-bis(4-hydroxybenzyl)-2-(4-hydroxyfenyl)-cyklopent-4-en-1,3-dionu]) pro výrobu léčiva pro léčbu bakteriálních infekcí, s výhodou pro léčbu infekcí způsobených zlatým stafylokokem. Dále řešení poskytuje vhodnou topickou formulaci nostotrebinu 6.

The patent deals with the application of nostotrebin 6 (2,2'-bis[4,5-bis(4- hydroxybenzyl)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)cyclopent-4-en-1,3-dione]) for preparation of antibacterial formulations, especially formulations effective against Staphylococcus aureus.
