Chlorphyll is an essential component of the photosynthwetic appartus. As we voud, it is critical for the photosynthetic cell to not only ensure the synthesis of a sufficient amoung of new Chl-binding proteins but laso avoid any misbalance between apoprotein synthesis and the formation of potentiallly photooxic Chl molecules.
