Při rekonstrukcích historických dřevěných konstrukcí se v poslední době začínají znovu používat celodřevěné tesařské spoje. Reaguje se tak na požadavky památkové péče na zachování původního materiálu, ale také nemovitého kulturního dědictví, které představuje tradiční tesařské řemeslo. Tesařské spoje jsou preferovány pro své užitné i estetické kvality, nevýhodou však je absence normativních předpisů pro jejich návrh. To se snaží změnit výzkumný projekt zabývající se jejich podrobnou analýzou.

Recently, all-wooden carpentry joints are becoming used again during the reconstruction of historical timber structures. It is the reaction to heritage preservation requests to preserve both original material and immovable culture heritage represented by traditional carpentry craft. Carpentry joints are favoured for their utility and aesthetic qualities, but the absence of design standards is the disadvantage. The research project dealing with their detailed analysis tries to change it.
