Rozsáhlá kniha "Kritická teorie společnosti: český kontext" nabízí první komplexní výklad kritické teorie společnosti v českém jazykovém prostředí. Publikace se koncentruje především na kritickou teorii od roku 1989 do současnosti. Jednotlivé kapitoly knihy se zaměřují na globální ne/spravedlnost, politickou ekologii, interkulturní a transkulturní otázky, historický vývoj, feminismus, občanskou společnost, demokracii atd. Každá kapitola má tři podkapitoly. První se koncentruje na recepci zahraniční kritické teorie daného tématu v českém prostředí. Druhá podkapitola ukazuje v rámci daného tématu originální příspěvky českých autorů. Třetí navrhuje možné cesty dalšího sociálního výzkumu daného tématu. Kniha představuje hlavně pražskou školu kritické teorie.

The voluminous book "Critical Social Theory: The Czech Context" offers the first comprehensive analysis of Critical Theory in the Czech language context. It focuses especially on the period since 1989 till the present. Individual chapters concentrate on the themes: global in/justice, political ecology, intercultural and transcultural issues, historical development, feminism, civil society, democracy, etc. Each chapter of the book has three subchapters. The first one concentrates on a reception of foreign Critical Theory of the given theme in the Czech context. The second subchapter shows original contributions of Czech Critical Theorists concerning the specific theme. The third one suggests the possible ways of further social research of the specific topic. The book presents especially the Prague School of Critical Theory.
