The complex character of genotypes in biotypes of the genus Cobitis makes possible to test the hypotheses about the dependencebetween hybridization, polyploidy and parasitological infection parameters. More than 500 fish were sampled at localities of the rivers Okna and Ondava by point sampling method to analyze their microhabitat preferences within the years 2011-2014. The parasite fauna was relatively poor. The core species was Allocreadium transversale (Rudolphi, 1802) (Digenea, Allocreadiidae) present at all localities, seasons and fish size categories of various ploidy.
