We studied optical biosensor for BA with an optical oxygen transducer that contained an enzyme diamine oxidase (DAO) from pea and ruthenium complex. Both components were incorporated in chemically stable inorganic-organic polymer Ormocer® to form sensitive layers. The principle of the measurement with this biosensor lies in oxygen consumption due to oxidation of BA catalyzed by DAO. Ruthenium complex serves as an optical transducer.
