    An explicit time scheme for finite element computations of wave propagation problems in solids and contact problems is presented. The presented algorithm, with the component-wise partition of equations of motion to the longitudinal and shear parts, is designed to more precisely integrate wave propagation in accordance with their different propagation wave speeds. The scheme is a modification of the conventional central difference method in the connection with the pullback interpolation with the time step size satisfied the CFL limit for each element-byelement partition of equations of motion.
