Kolektivní monografie sdružuje celkem 25 odborných studií významných badatelů v oboru historie, archivnictví, filologie, knihovědy nebo bohemistiky z České republiky a ze zahraničí. Jejím tématem je humanismus nazíraný z nejrůznějších úhlů pohledu badatelského zájmu. Texty jsou rozděleny do pěti tematických kapitol věnovaných humanismu a jeho odkazu, rukopisné tradici a historii, humanistickým autorům a jejich dílu, dějinám knihtisku a knihoven.

The collective monograph presents 25 articles by prominent researchers in history, archival and book science, philology or Czech studies from the Czech republic and abroad. It focuses on humanism perceived in multiple perspectives and research interest. Texts are divided in five chapters: humanism and its legacy, manuscript tradition, humanistic authors and their works, history of printing and libraries.
