In the present paper, the compressible viscous fluid flow through minichannel formed by two parallel walls was experimentally and numerically studied. The height of the minichannel ranged from 1 to 5 mm, the width and length were 100 mm. The investigated pressure drops were chosen as high as the aerodynamic choking conditions at the outlet cross-sectional plane are achieved. Experimental data was obtained using mutually independent optical and pneumatic experimental methods (static pressure taps and interferometry to obtain as many as complex information about the investigated flow field. The numerical simulations were performed for simplified 2D geometry employing the FLUENT commercial code and an in-house code, in which γ-Re_θt transition model is implemented and the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method is used for spatial dicretization of governing equations. Comparison of the CFD and experiments were discussed with emphases to considered subsequent research of the skin friction along the minichannel.
