    A fluid viscosity microcantilever sensor is presented. Such sensors can detect properties of even small volumes of fluids and therefore are often considered to be the prospective micro viscometers. By measuring the frequency response of the vibrating optical fiber, the viscosity can be determined from maximum vibrational amplitude and bandwidth. The sensor prototype and mathematical model of microcantilever oscillation have been put forward.
