Combination of geochronological data and geomorphological data from the Makalu-Barun area (Karakoram, Nepal) point to a rapid exhumation of deep crustal rocks during the mature stages of collisional orogeny. High mountain landform in the relief section between the Mount Everest, Makalu and the Arun Valey are result of morphotectonic processes, denudation and erosin efficiency in different paleoclimatic conditions during the Late Cenozoic.
