Podává přehled hlavních událostí v životě obce a zásadních politických změn, hodnotí rozvoj občanských iniciativ, činnost církevních institucí a nových spolků a sdružení i kulturní život obce, jež se v roce 2000 stala městem.

Chapter in this collective monograph discusses the quarter century of post-communist era, since the coup in late eighties to the present. It gives an overview of major events in the life of the community and significant political changes, evaluate the development of civic initiatives, activities of religious institutions, and new associations, and cultural life of the city, which in 2000 became a town.
