V latinských rukopisech cestopisu Odorika z Pordenone (asi 1280/85–1331) je několik významných pasáží, týkajících se říše a moci Velikého chána. Většina latinských rukopisů a některé rukopisy v jiných jazycích, např. ve francouzštině, italské toskánštině či benátštině, přidává na samý konec textu dodatek známý jako De reverentia magni Chanis.

In the Latin manuscripts of Odoric of Pordenone (about 1280/85 to 1331) are some important passages relating to power and empire of Kublai Khan. Most Latin manuscripts and some manuscripts in other languages, eg. French, Tuscan and Venetian add to the very end of the text amendment known as De reverentia magni Chanis.
