Monografie je věnovaná dílu ticinských umělců Carpofora a Giacoma Tencally na Moravě a v Čechách. První díl obsahuje statě domácích a zahraničních autorů, které jsou věnovány životu a dílu obou malířů, jejich objedanvatelům a kontextu uměleckých úloh, na jejichž realizaci tito malíři podíleli. Součástí svazku je také edice souvisejících archivních pramenů. Připravovaný druhý díl bude obsahovat katalog nástěnných maleb Carpofora a Giacoma Tencally v českých zemích. Druhý díl obsahuje katalog nástěnných maleb, které Tencallové vytvořili na území Moravy a Čech. Katalog je uspořádán do čtrnácti samostatných kapitol zaměřených na jednotlivé projekty a zahrnuje všechny dosud zjištěné dochované i nedochované, archivně však doložené nástěnné a nástropní malířské cykly obou umělců na území dnešní České republiky. Nabízí informace o výzdobě zámku Náměšť nad Oslavou, staveb v kroměřížské Květné zahradě, Arcibiskupského paláce v Olomouci, poutního kostela Navštívení P. Marie na Svatém Kopečku u Olomouce, zámků Roudnice nad Labem, Lnáře, Troja a Libochovice a dalších sakrálních i profánních staveb v Čechách a na Moravě. Do katalogu jsou zařazeny také malby, které sice nejsou dílem Carpofora ani Giacoma Tencally, které však vznikly jako součást širšího námětového programu pojednaných objektů.

The book deals with the works of the artists from Ticino, Carpoforo and Giacomo Tencalla, in Moravia and Bohemia, The first volume contains articles by several Czech and foreign authors, focuses on lifes and work by both above mentioned artists, on their patrons and on the context of the artistic commissions, in which Giacomo and Carpoforo took part. The volume contains also selection of the related archive sources. The second volume will contain catalogue of ceiling paintings by Carpoforo and Giacomo Tencalla in Czech lands. The second volume contains a catalogue of the ceiling paintings that the Tencallas created in Moravia and Bohemia. The catalogue is divided into fourteen separate chapters focusing on individual projects, and includes all the cycles of wall and ceiling paintings by both artists in what is today the Czech Republic which we know of, both those that have been preserved and those that have not survived but are recorded in archive sources. It provides information on the chateau in Náměšť nad Oslavou, the buildings in the Flover gardens in Kroměříž, the Archbishop’s Palace in Olomouc, the pilgrimage church of the Visitation on the Holy Hill (Svatý Kopeček) near Olomouc, the chateaus in Roudnice nad Labem, Lnáře, Troja, and Libochovice, and other sacred and secular buildings in Bohemia and Moravia. The catalogue also includes paintings which, while not the work of either Carpoforo or Giacomo Tencalla, were created as an integral part of a broader thematic programme in the buildings discussed.
