We present statistical results of 156 type III radio bursts observed by S/Waves instruments on- board two STEREO spacecraft between May 2007 and September 2011. We have used data from the High Frequency Receiver (HFR, a part of the STEREO/Waves instrument) which provides us with the goniopolarimetric (GP, also referred to as direction-nding) measurements between 125 kHz and 2 MHz, while flux density is recorded up to 16 MHz. We have investigated both ux density and GP properties of type III radio bursts. We have found that maximum of flux density occurs at 1 MHz. The apparent source size during peak uxes is very extended (approximately 40 degrees) for low frequencies (below 500 kHz), while remaining almost constant between 500 kHz and 2 MHz (25 degrees). Deviation of the wave vector from the Sun-spacecraft line has a maximum of 40 degrees for lowest frequency decreasing to 10 degrees for 2 MHz.
