Předmětem studie jsou tři notoricky známé oltářní obrazy od předních rudolfínských malířů, v textu jsou publikovány dosud neznámé archivní poznatky, které upřesňují dataci a okolnosti vzniku a jejich pozdější recepci.
The subject of the article consists of three altarpieces created by the prominent court painters of Emperor Rudolf II. The as yet unpublished archival discoveries not only more precisely date these works, but also bring new knowledge about the circumstances of the individual commissions and about the later reception of the works.
