Multilayer optical system with a possible electrical stimulation is designed to detect the infrared absorption spectra of the functionalized diamond surfaces. It can be used in optics as chemically active or passive optical element for infrared spectroscopy characterization of chemically functionalized nanocrystalline diamond nanostructures and nanopowders, and monitoring of electro-chemical reactions at the diamond-molecule interface in a real time.
