The contribution deals with the description, the analysis and the comparison of existing models of turbulent heat transfer applied for modelling of forced convection in internal and external aerodynamics. Besides, turbulence models frequently used for modelling of turbulent flows wit heat transfer are compared. The turbulent heat transfer is modelled by means of the so-called gradient hypothesis using the turbulent Prandtl number or by the generalised gradient hypothesis and/or by means of the algebraic heat transfer models that are similarly as the EARSM models completed by transport equations for the turbulent length and time scales of heat transfer. The simplifying assumptions based on the similarity of turbulent scales of momentum and heat transfer are described.
