Příspěvek je věnován národnímu projektu Centrální portál českých knihoven – KNIHOVNY.CZ. Popisuje jeho hlavní i dílčí cíle, současný stav, cíle pro rok 2013 a výhled do roku 2015 a 2020. Zasazuje projekt do Koncepce rozvoje knihoven ČR na léta 2011 - 2015. Popisuje jeho organizační a finanční zajištění, přínosy v případě jeho úspěšné realizace, ale v závěru upozorňuje i na rizika, která mohou jeho realizaci zkomplikovat.

The paper focuses on the national project KNIHOVNY.CZ – The Central Portal of Czech Libraries (CPL). It outlines its aims, the current state, the objectives for 2013 and its outlook until 2015 and 2020. It describes the CPL is one of the principle aims of the Concept of the Development of Libraries in the CR for 2011–2015 and explains its organisation and funding, assets and also risks.
