    In the present work thermographic methods, based on Risitano et al. and Canteli et al. ideas, are applied on the material AL 2024 under the stress ration 0.1 to evaluate the fatigue limit in very short time. The aim of contribution is to compare and to discuss the suitability (advantage and disadvantage) of mentioned methods for AL 2024. The thermographic data are compared to the corresponding data obtained by means of traditional measurements (S-N curve).
