Článek se věnuje Druhé církevněslovanské legendě o sv. Václavu a jejím latinským předlohám. Církevněslovanský text byl přeložen z latiny v 11. stol., hlavním pramenem pro překlad byla latinská legenda Gumpoldova, prameny vedlejšími či doplňkovými pak legendy Crescente fide, Kristiánova legenda a legenda Vavřincova. Předpokládá se i užití domácí tradice.

The paper deals with The Second Church Slavonic Legend of Saint Wenceslas and its Latin source(s). This Old Church Slavonic text was translated in the 11th century, mostly from the Latin legend written by Gumpold, the bishop of Mantua, at the end of 10th century. We can, however, assume other Latin sources, such as the Latin legend Crescente fide, the legend of Christianus Monachus (Vita et passio sancti Wenceslai et sancte Ludmile ave eius) and also original supplements.
