Jde o editaci sborníku prací, které jsou výsledkem vědecko-výzkumné činnosti pracovníků a spolupracovníků Fakulty managementu VŠE v rámci výzkumného záměru "Multidisciplinární podpora managementu". Jeho cílem je propojit vědeckou činnost v oblasti rozhodovacích procesů (kvantitativní metody, metody rozpoznávání, neuronové sítě, fuzzy metody, expertní a znalostní systémy) s výzkumem v oblasti ekonomie a managementu.

The editorial work presents the results of research activities of the staff of Faculty of Management (University of Economics, Prague) and its co-workers in the framework of the research project "Multidisciplinary Support of Management". Its goal is to interconnect research activities in the field of decision processes (quantitative methods, pattern recognition, neural nets, fuzzy methods, expert and knowledge-based systems) with research in economics and management.
