The data about risk factors of atherosclerosis of 1419 middle aged men and twenty years lasting follow-up of these men were collected in the 2nd Dept. of Internal Medicine of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, the Czech Republic. We present the main aims of the study, the methodological approaches of the entry examination and of the longitudinal observation. The data description and the analytical question for the knowledge discovery are given.
