The paper presents the basic CT image processing and its visualization for composite materials in MATLAB. The developed software tool is designed for the visualization itself, and for the creation of a geometric model, used for numerical experiments in analysis of the mechanical properties of investigated composites. Complexity of the problem lies either in magnitude of the amount of data (processed by the voxel grid size of the order of 000x1000x1000 nodes, first, in the optical properties (translucency) of the components may be similar, while their mechanical properties could be substantially different.
