    In the contribution the impact of a lake on the local microclimate is studied by using the COSMO NWP model. This study is being done for the lake Most, which is being formed by restoration of the brown coal mine Ležáky. The aim is to quantitatively express how the lake changes air temperature, humidity and other meteorological elements in comparison with the state without the lake in the vicinity of the lake.
