The e-book presents an overview of implementation of the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (Aarhus Convention) 15 years after its signature. It collects the implementation experience of representatives of six member states of the Aarhus Convention: the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany and Montenegro. It uncovers the areas in which the implementation remains puzzling and the problems that seems to be common for all the countries participating at the research. This way it contributes to a more general topic of public participation in environmental decision-making.
