    The paper presents an overview of microgrid current control techniques at the power converter level. Principles and a basic comparison of main converter current operation modes is carried out, focusing on the converter reference current calculation. The following control objectives during voltage sags and disturbances are considered: a proper exchange of active and reactive powers with the grid, restriction of active and reactive power ripples, minimization of grid currents THD and current peaks during voltage sags.
