Mezi jmény umělců činných v Olomouci ve službách knížete biskupa Karla II. z Liechtensteinu-Castelcorna a dalších objednavatelů se opakovaně setkáváme s italským malířem Giuseppem Bragallim. Je možné jej vnímat jako průkopníka hlavních trendů italské kvadratury (malby iluzivních architektur) na Moravě a v Čechách. Zdá se navíc, že se uplatnil i ve službách českých šlechticů jako malíř figurálních mytologických scén.

The names of artists working for the Olomouc prince bishop Karl II von Liechtenstein-Cestelcorn and other Olomouc patrons form the church sphere include the Italian painter Giuseppe Bragalli several times. He can be perceived as a pioneer protagonist of the topical trends of Italian quadrature painting in the Moravian and Czech context. It still seems at the same time that he asserted himself in service of various Czech noblemen and as a painter of figurative compositions of mythological themes.
