In this contribution, selected members of the homologous series of 1-[(1R,2S,5R)-(–)-menthoxymethyl]-3- alkylimidazolium Ntf2 chiral ionic liquids with alkyl ranging from methyl to dodecyl were studied. To be able to use them efficiently as solvents in asymmetric catalysis or disinfectants with antielectrostatic activity, knowledge of their solubility in water and other molecular solvents is necessary. Also, their tendency to bioaccumulation may be assessed by measuring the partitioning coefficient 1-octanol - water.
