Kniha zkoumá genderové aspekty profesních plánů vědců a vědkyň, akademické mobility, kombinace vědecké profese a rodičovství, obrazu vědy v médiích a politiky genderové rovnosti ve vědě. Úvodní kapitola odkrývá kontext současného měnícího se světa vědy a postavení žen v české vědě. Závěrečná kapitola shrnuje hlavní zjištění a věnuje se dopadům proměňujícího se charakteru vědecké profese na genderovou rovnost a na profesní vyhlídky žen a mužů ve vědě v České republice.

The publication explores gender aspects of researchers’ career plans, academic mobility, combination of research and parenthood, image of science in the media and gender equality policies in science. The introductory chapter discusses current changes in research and position of women in Czech science. The concluding chapter summarises main findings and explores the impact of the changes in the research profession on gender equality and professional outlook of women and men in Czech science.
