Článek zkoumá vztah mezi Březinou a Kierkegaardem, co mají společného, zviditelňuje i odlišné rysy jejich myšlení. Oba chápali význam ženství a lásky pro život člověka, nacházeli sebe sama tváří v tvář kosmu a bytí samému. Oba učinili ze svého života "umělecké dílo", svou bolest dokázali přetavit ve vynikající tvůrčí čin. Své hluboké mlčení prolamovali směrem k nevšední tvorbě, otevírající pro člověka nový, bohatší smysl žití.

This article examines the relationship between Březina and Kierkegaard, and what they have in common; it also makes apparent some differering characteristcs of their thinking. Both understood the importance of womanhood and love for the life of man, finding oneself in the face of the cosmos and being itself. Both made from their lives "a work of art", able to forge creative works from their pain, breaking through their profound silence toward exceptional creation, opening for mankind a new, richer sense of life.
