Kapitola popisuje dvě základní databáze biomolekulárních struktur, Protein Data Bank, PDB a Nucleic Acid Database, NDB. The chapter describes two main databases of biomolecular structures, Protein Data Bank, PDB, and Nucleic Acid Database, NDB. Functions of the primary archival database PDB are described in detail including the deposition process, some issues of data format, structure validation, and examples how to query the database.
